Shadow Of The Moon

Shadow of the Moon (Dark Gu...Rachel Hawthorne's series was an easy read that kept you turning pages. I did not want to put the book down. Not complicated but filled with heart felt moments, witty humor, and some thrills. The down side is that the story line was predictable (but fun to read). I would recommend this to ages 12 to adults.

I think Hawthorne left room for another book or perhaps another spin off series (doing so with out leaving a huge cliff hanger which for a "last" book is just want i like to see)
Happy reading

Resident Evil 6

I played the demo of Resident Evil 6 and I must say the makers have redeemed themselves with this new installment. While Resident Evil 5 was in my eyes an epic fail that I did not even see through to the end because of how far from the zombie filled wonderland they strayed.
I loved the different playing fields and the different types of mutated creatures that the horrible virus' unleashed in this installment.

At the start of the game you have a choice to play as Chris, Leon, or Jake with in these 3 you can choose to play as that main character or a partner character. You can think of this selection as a "what version of the game you want to play." I have to say that i enjoyed the boards I played with the characters (or sub-characters) Leon and Jake.
Leon you are on a campus (college campus) that looks a lot like the police station and one of the houses from prior games combined. The bad guy of choice in this stage is the classic Zombies we have come to love with the Resident Evil games.
Jake This seems to be a city game arena where there are not only zombie like creature like in the 4th Resident Evil there are also so many interesting mutations that come from that species.
Chris This is a board where there are mutated people with guns and a big hate on for the military people rolling into town. I saw one boss while playing this board and it was awesome...it did not disappoint. While i am not one for liking war type games this board held less of my interest though it was still compelling to play.
Way to go Resident Evil 6 Makers I can't wait to play the full version. Due out October 2 2012

Identical By Ellen Hopkins

Identical by Ellen HopkinsIdentical twins or multiple personalities? This book keeps you guessing till the end. I was extremely impressed with the authors bold choice to shed some light on this all to hidden subject. I love the way this book is written it had me cringing at certain points with out getting OVERLY descriptive about the events taking place. It takes on the tough subjects such as substance abuse, child molestation, cutting, and other emotional issues. I would recommend this book to readers 15 to adult because of language and content.

Passing Strange by Daniel Waters

Passing Strange by Daniel Waters
I loved this series however, i am confused who is Nikki i thought Karen's girlfriend was named Monica...i did read the series really spaced out so maybe i missed something. I will be checking out the website to see if there are any updates for this series. There are still so many ways they could go with the story. I would recommend this book for teens and adults just for violent content.

Wither By Lauren Destefano

Wither by Lauren DeStefano
WITHER by Lauren Destefano :This book has captured me from page one. I think the world that the author has created resembles that of the human trafficking world, child brides and forced marriage, but its not just the relationships that are intriguing but the world the characters live in is frightening and realistic. (on page 140 of 358)
The world that was created in this novel is completely fascinating and believable. The relationship dynamics that these 3 girls find themselves in are things that are happening everyday already. I think that this book not only entertains but it sheds light on the human trafficking issues we have right here right now in our very own safe cities.
